Joe Biden’s government is working on vaccination passports

Section for “mutation” vaccinations already planned

Vaccination pass could “display a scannable code similar to an airline’s boarding pass.”

The Biden government is working on developing corona vaccination passports that would allow Americans to prove they have been vaccinated. The news follows reports that some companies will require proof of vaccination for people to enter their stores, The Daily Wire reports.

“The government initiative was largely driven by departments of the Department of Health, including a health information technology bureau, said five officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the effort,” the Washington Post reported. “The White House has taken on a bigger role this month in coordinating the government agencies involved in the work, led by coronavirus coordinator Jeff Zients, with an aim to announce news of this in the coming days.”

A digital version of the vaccination record is said to be available through smartphone apps and would “display a scannable code similar to an airline boarding pass.” Developers told the Washington Post that one should also have the option of printing out a vaccination record.

However, it is expected that vaccination records would be faced with “considerable hurdles” that affect data protection.

The Biden Administration is complying with the advice of the WHO and the tech giant IBM. IBM has a digital corona vaccination record in development that is being tested in New York State. Development has been spurred by government efforts on how best to track vaccinations.

The vaccination certificate should also provide for “mutations” and corresponding vaccinations.
